What do I wear?
You’ve got four stunning backdrop options to choose from:
🌼 Yellow | 💗 Deep Pink | 🧡 Orange | 💜 Purple
Each one is bold, beautiful, and totally fun — and we’ll use them to make your look pop. Here’s how to style it:
Monochromatic Magic
Want that chic, editorial look? Dress in the same color as the background.
Example: A yellow top on the yellow backdrop = sunshine goddess. Pink tank on the pink wall = instant icon energy. This look is polished, intentional, and so satisfying.
Contrast Queen
Want to stand out from the backdrop instead? Choose colors that complement or contrast the background.
Think: blue or white on yellow, emerald on pink, magenta on orange, or mint green on purple. This gives major personality and lets your outfit pop against the bold color.
Keep it simple: Solid colors, minimal logos, and clean lines photograph best — but that doesn’t mean boring! Add texture, accessories, or layers if that’s your vibe.
Multiple looks?
Yes, please! If you're doing the Essential or Full Experience sessions, you’ll have time for multiple outfits and backdrops. Bring your options and I’ll help you pick what works best on the day.

How does styling work?
If you’ve chosen to add on styling, Emily will take great care of you, so all you have to do is show up with a clean face, and clean/day old hair! She’ll get with you to give you any more specific directions.
Scheduling may shift slightly due to the styling schedule as well. We’ll communicate any changes!
Where are these sessions taking place?
Sessions (and styling, if booked) will occur in the Kelley Photo Studio in Tonganoxie, KS. The address will be emailed to you in your confirmation message. When you arrive, please come in the French doors that face the road.
What’s the turnaround time on images?
Headshots will be edited and sent to you within 3 weeks. If you need them sooner, please communicate that to Kelley and a rush may be possible.
Who can be in the sessions?
These are open to all genders and ages (besides babies who can’t yet sit up)! Each person needs their own session, but two people can be included in back to back sessions.
