Have questions?
What do I wear?
Whites, creams, sheer textures, or soft fabrics like linen and gauze all photograph beautifully. Think bralettes, oversized white tees or cardigans, matching sets, or nothing but the sheets. You’ll get a prep guide with tons of wardrobe ideas after booking!
How does styling work?
If you’ve chosen to add on styling, Emily will take great care of you, so all you have to do is show up with a clean face, and clean/day old hair! She’ll get with you to give you any more specific directions.
Scheduling may shift slightly due to the styling schedule as well. We’ll communicate any changes!
Where are these sessions taking place?
Sessions (and styling, if booked) will occur in the Kelley Photo Studio in Tonganoxie, KS. The address will be emailed to you in your confirmation message. When you arrive, please come in the French doors that face the road.
What’s the turnaround time on images?
Headshots will be edited and sent to you within 3 weeks. If you need them sooner, please communicate that to Kelley and a rush may be possible.
Will you help me pose?
“I’m awkward in front of the camera.”
Totally. I’ll guide you the entire time. This is not stiff posing — it’s rolling, lounging, stretching, tucking into cozy shapes. Think movement, not modeling.
Do you Photoshop?
I edit for light, color, and skin tone — but not to change your shape or erase what makes you you. This session is about honoring your beauty, not airbrushing it away.
What if I don’t feel “ready”?
Here’s the secret: No one ever really feels “ready.” Do it anyway. You are allowed to take up space right now, just as you are.
