Family Photography Sessions in the Kansas City Area

Family photos are about capturing your people as they are right now — the connection, the personalities, and all the little in-between moments that change faster than you ever expect. I’m so honored to be considered for the job!

These sessions are relaxed, low-pressure, and designed to feel easy. There’s no expectation that everyone smiles perfectly or poses a certain way. I’ll guide you when needed and give plenty of room for kids to be kids, so your photos feel natural and true to your family.

  • To get started, choose the session option that fits your family and place a 50% deposit to secure your booking. Most family sessions range from 30–120 minutes, depending on the session type you choose.

    During booking, you’ll choose your session location . Many families love shooting at my studio in the country, where we can photograph both inside my natural light studio and outside in the surrounding countryside. If you already have a location in mind, you’re welcome to choose that as well — anywhere in the Kansas City metro area works.

    If you’re unsure what would be best for your family, I’m always happy to chat through ideas and help you decide. Whether you choose my studio, your home, or an outdoor location, we’ll make sure it’s a great fit.

  • You don’t need to have everything figured out — I’m happy to help. After booking, I’ll send over my outfit guide with simple tips to help you plan your family’s look. I’m always available to give feedback, so feel free to send photos of outfits or ideas you’re considering.

    I want your photos to feel like you. You’re welcome to bring meaningful items like blankets, heirlooms, or favorite toys, and family pets are always welcome. These little details help make your images feel personal and lived-in.

  • During the session, I’ll guide you throughout, but nothing will feel stiff or overly posed. We’ll move, laugh, and follow your kids’ lead when needed. If weather, illness, or something unexpected comes up, we can absolutely reschedule — no stress.

  • You’ll receive your online gallery of edited images within 3–4 weeks of your session. From there, you’ll be able to download your high-resolution images (depending on the collection you choose) and explore professional, archival-quality print options directly through your gallery.

    If you’d like help choosing wall art, albums, or prints for your home, I’m always happy to guide you through the options so your images don’t just live on a screen.

Luxe Session - $1495

Full Session

A relaxed, unhurried session up to 2 hours, designed for families who want the full experience and plenty of time to settle in. Ideal for larger families, multiple locations, or anyone who wants space for kids to warm up & moments to unfold naturally. We’ll capture a rich mix of candid connection & timeless portraits without feeling rushed.

Here’s what you’ll get:

  • Up to 120 minutes of shooting time

  • All edited high res images from session (75+) to keep and print as you like

  • Online gallery for viewing and printing

  • Any location in the KC Metro area, including indoor/outdoor at the studio

  • Styling guide to help you prepare

Book Your Luxe Session

Signature Session - $895

Half Session

The perfect balance of time and storytelling. With up to an hour together, we’ll document your family’s connection in a natural, easygoing way — giving kids time to be themselves while still keeping things efficient. This is a favorite for families who want variety without a long session.

Here’s what you’ll get:

  • Up to 60 minutes of shooting time

  • Your favorite 20 images, edited and delivered for you to keep and print as you like

  • Online gallery for viewing and printing

  • Any location in the KC Metro area, including indoor/outdoor at the studio

  • Styling guide to help you prepare

Book Your Signature Session

Basic Session - $495

Petite Session

A short and simple way to capture beautiful family moments. This option is great for smaller families, milestone updates, or anyone wanting a streamlined session while still getting meaningful, polished images. Designed to be quick, relaxed, and easy — no overthinking required.

Here’s what you’ll get:

  • Up to 30 minutes of shooting time 

  • Your favorite 10 images, edited and delivered for you to keep and print as you like

  • Online gallery for viewing and printing

  • Styling guide to help you prepare

  • Only available at the studio, indoor or outdoor
